GDPR Statement
Dee Valley Vets Ltd is committed to providing the best customer service possible and that includes protecting your data. We welcome GDPR as an important opportunity to review and strengthen our data protection protocols and improve the transparency of how and why we store and process your data.
Servicing you as a client
By registering as a client of Dee Valley Vets we already know that you want to provide your pet with the best possible healthcare. To help you do that, we have chosen ‘legitimate interest’ as the lawful basis to process your data and provide marketing communications that we feel would be beneficial to you and your pet. These include:
- – Appointment reminders
- – Reminders for pet vaccinations and administering preventative healthcare treatments (e.g. wormers and flea treatments)
- – News and information on animal care, like top tips for exercise and health checks you can do yourself
- – Promotions and the latest related product offers
We’re a caring & compassionate practice and your pet’s health and wellbeing are our main priorities. Being able to contact you about products, services and advice relating to your pet enables us to provide you with the best service possible, and ensures your pet never misses out on the care they deserve.
Fair processing
We operate a fair processing policy and you can find out what data we hold about our clients and how and why we process it in our Privacy Notice.
Opting out
As we have chosen the ‘legitimate interest’ route, we are not required under the new GDPR regulations to obtain consent to process your data in order to provide our services, and support you with your pet’s healthcare. We want to assure you that we will never sell or share your personal data with a third party for marketing purposes, and you can update your preferences and/or opt out of our communications any time by phone, email or in person.
